The History of Lanzwiesen Alm – A Family, A Vision
For over 30 years, the Lasta family has managed the Lanzwiesen Alm – with a brief interruption during this long period. As a family-run business, we have created a home here, one that has seen several generations grow up. From Gerda's children to her grandchildren, the Alm has shaped our lives and, at the same time, our drive to continuously learn and develop. Even today, we are fueled by passion, hospitality, and the desire to discover and share new experiences with every opportunity. Lanzwiesen Alm is more than just a hut – it is a place full of heart, tradition, and stories.
The Transformation Over the Years
In 2008, Lanzwiesen Alm underwent extensive renovations to meet the growing demands for comfort and functionality. While the barn remained largely unchanged, the hut itself was significantly expanded. Before the renovation, the Alm was equipped with only a few basic facilities: a simple guest restroom and a multifunctional room where cooking, billing, and beverage preparation took place. This room was particularly challenging in the past, as all tasks had to be carried out in a cramped space.
With the renovation, the guest area was greatly improved and expanded. A large cellar was added, providing additional space for storage and work surfaces. This allowed for the separation of different work processes and made operations much more efficient. These improvements not only enhanced the working environment but also increased comfort for the guests.
